September 2003 Meeting

Our September 2003 meeting was held at:

7 PM on Tuesday the 30th of September 2003
Scitech Discovery Centre
1st Floor, City West
Railway Parade, West Perth

Jonathan Knispel (interim chair) and Greg Bruyer (co-founder) opened the meeting and gave a quick overview of SIGGRAPH Perth and its activities for the benefit of newcomers. There were 95 people at the meeting. We signed up about 35 new members and saw a good turnout of existing members.

After that we experienced some of the best computer animation in the world! Attendees watched the Electronic Theatre session from the recent SIGGRAPH 2003 Computer Animation Festival in San Diego, California. An international jury selected a two hour program of works submitted by authors from all over the globe. You can find a list of the works shown here.

If you'd like to own a copy of the DVD, you can find ordering information on the ACM SIGGRAPH web site. Pricing is listed on the FAX order forms. We showed issue 144 at the meeting. We'll be showing issues 145 and 146 at subsequent screenings.
